John Christoforou, famous for his vigorous "nouvelle figuration" work, will be celebrated in an exhibition of post-war Greek artists in Paris, “Neuf Artistes Grecs Abstraits à Paris dans les Années 1950”.
In 1947, the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris organised an exhibition of Greek artists then working in the French capital. To celebrate the 70th anniversary, the Centre Culturel Helénique has organised a retrospective exhibition at l’Orangerie du Sénat, including John Christororou, Constantin Andreou, Manolis Calliyannis, Yannis Gaitis, Constantin Macris, Aklis Pierrakos, Philolaos, Takis, and Thanos Tsingos.
